INCF plans to apply as a mentoring organisation for Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2026, and we are inviting experienced researchers, developers, and community members to propose project ideas and serve as mentors. In an era where neuroscience is evolving faster than ever, the International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF) gathered its global community for an open Town Hall to discuss how we can best adapt — and lead — in this changing landscape.

This event is an opportunity for all members of the INCF community to learn about our new mission for neuroscience communities and to share perspectives that will shape our strategy, partnerships, and priorities for the years ahead.

Registration is open for the upcoming 2-day digital course “Neuroscience data integration through use of digital brain atlases”, hosted by the University of Oslo in collaboration with EBRAINS.

The upcoming INCF-SeRC-EBRAINS-Sweden workshop on FAIR neuroscience offers a unique and immersive opportunity for participants to explore cutting-edge tools and techniques in data sharing, analysis, visualization, and simulation within the field of neuroscience.

The BRIDGE project is looking for volunteers (graduate students and postdoctoral researchers) with experience in handling human neuroimaging data to work on our project examining barriers to accessing international neuroimaging data.

INCF has worked with SciCrunch through fiscal sponsorship which helped them complete the CZI-funded research resource table project for all BioRxiv papers (2024-2025).

In the last month, the INCF-seeded RRID initiative, which aims to increase the visibility of research resources like software, has reached a major milestone, we have surpassed one million RRIDs published in the scientific literature.
